Speaking in an interview with Arise TV, Imisi explained that her entry into the show was spontaneous and unplanned, leaving her little time to prepare. “I didn’t come in with a pity strategy. I didn’t even believe I was going to be picked for the show,” she said. “When I got the mail, I had only a few days to pack. I was in Ijebu at the time, and I brought all the costumes I took to that location to my sister, then we started planning.”

Imisi revealed that her wardrobe and personality on the show were true reflections of her real life, not part of a game plan. “I didn’t have time to go home, and even if I did, I feel like it’s just a few things I’d have taken because most of the outfits I wore in the house are what I usually wear outside. That’s just me,” she added.

Johnson explained that for five years, no producer or director contacted him for work. “The film industry isn’t like a regular office job where you can ask why you lost a position,” he said. The silence was painful, he added, because he received no explanation—he simply stopped getting calls. Despite this, he maintained his faith and continued to trust God.

The extended break prompted him to move to Abuja to attend church prayer programmes. Although some colleagues warned him that Abuja isn’t a major film hub like Lagos, Johnson stayed committed to the gatherings.
