Political analyst Katch Ononuju has shed light on the strategic calculations behind former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi’s decision to temporarily align with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and his subsequent departure from the platform. Speaking during an interview on SYMFONI TV, Ononuju recounted the private discussions he shared with Obi prior to the political move, noting that he had initially advised the former presidential candidate against entering the opposition coalition. I need to go into the room to go and negotiate with power.’” Ultimately, when internal obstacles made further progress impossible within the party, Obi publicly announced his exit, a decision Ononuju characterized as a natural and inevitable reaction to a dead-end political environment.
