The announcement was made by Nigeria’s Information Minister, Mohammed Idris, during a courtesy visit by Jose Zau, the Angolan Ambassador to Nigeria, in Abuja on Thursday.

Minister Idris mentioned that the Nigerian Ministry of Information had received a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on public communication and media exchange programs from Angola. He assured that the MoU was being carefully reviewed, emphasizing that Nigeria remains open to fostering bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of public communication and media exchange.

Idris also highlighted the long-standing relationship between Nigeria and Angola, emphasizing their shared characteristics as both are members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
