Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, has called on Nigerians to support locally-made products, emphasizing the importance of promoting national identity and showcasing the quality of goods produced within the country. He made this statement during his keynote address at the 35th Enugu International Trade Fair, themed “Promoting Made-in-Nigeria Products for Global Competitiveness……..READ ALSO
Nnaji highlighted that supporting Nigerian products contributes to economic independence and aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s agenda for national renewal. He stressed the need for Nigerian companies to meet global standards and innovate, especially in a connected global market where quality, branding, and effective market entry are crucial.
The Minister underscored the significance of the Enugu International Trade Fair in providing a platform for businesses to display Nigerian products, connect with global partners, and diversify the economy. He emphasized Enugu State’s potential for industrial growth across various sectors, urging the state government to encourage investment and offer incentives to businesses.
