Addressing journalists in Port Harcourt on Saturday, Gbara emphasized that the majority of Rivers residents were weary of the persistent political turmoil and yearned for peace.
He expressed confidence that Governor Siminialaye Fubara would be able to govern effectively if given the opportunity without distractions.
Gbara commended Governor Fubara for maintaining composure amid political disagreements and for his dedication to implementing impactful policies and projects for the benefit of the people.
He noted the recent resignation and pledge of support by a councillor representing the ward of the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, as a timely show of solidarity with Governor Fubara.
Gbara concluded by highlighting the growing support for the governor, indicating a shift in sentiment towards embracing his leadership.
