Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, led the unveiling ceremony of the hotel, named Sami Court, during a momentous event on Wednesday. Keyamo underscored the crucial role played by the hotel management as a longstanding stakeholder in Nigeria’s aviation sector. He emphasized that the initiative is aimed at enhancing passengers’ comfort during transit, reflecting the government’s commitment to improving airport services.

“This event is not just a standalone occasion; it symbolizes a broader strategic effort by the new management to collaborate with the private sector in enhancing passengers’ comfort,” Keyamo stated. He highlighted the ongoing efforts of CEOs and other leaders in the aviation sector to attract private sector investments into airport and aviation infrastructure, indicating that the unveiling of Sami Court is just the beginning of more initiatives to come in the near future.

Additionally, Olubunmi Kuku, the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), lauded the introduction of the hotel, which boasts 22 rooms with fitted amenities. Kuku stressed the importance of this addition in ensuring passenger comfort and convenience. She expressed optimism about the promising partnership between the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and Sami Court, indicating FAAN’s eagerness for further collaborations in the future.

The unveiling of Sami Court represents a significant step forward in the government’s efforts to modernize and improve airport facilities, reflecting a commitment to enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
