The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a cautionary statement to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, urging him to be mindful of his conduct and statements to avoid exacerbating the already tense political atmosphere in the state………..CONTINUE READING

The spokesperson for the Rivers State PDP, Tambari Sydney Gbara, released the statement in response to remarks made by Akpabio during an event in Port Harcourt. Akpabio had suggested that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike consider an Ogoni candidate to succeed Governor Siminialayi Fubara.

While expressing support for the idea of an Ogoni candidate for governorship, Tambari criticized the timing of Akpabio’s remarks, especially given the current political tensions in the state and the distance to the elections.

Tambari highlighted Governor Fubara’s strong backing from the Ogoni people and emphasized the positive relations between the Ogonis and the people of Opobo in the same Senatorial District. He also noted Fubara’s developmental efforts in Bori town, including infrastructure projects like internal road construction and community development initiatives.

Tambari emphasized that as a prominent leader in the South-South region, Akpabio should make statements that promote calmness in the political environment rather than adding to the tensions.

He criticized Akpabio’s remarks as disrespectful to the office of the governor, particularly considering there is a sitting governor in the state, and suggested that Akpabio would not have accepted such remarks during his tenure as Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

Abba Aliyu Tilde, a Senior Legislative Aide to Senator Shehu Buba Umar representing Bauchi South, has tendered his resignation effective September 6, 2026, citing a breakdown in trust, communication, and working relations.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

While his departure coincides with fresh banditry and terrorism allegations directed at the lawmaker, Tilde explicitly omitted the controversy from his resignation, stating that his exit was entirely driven by personal treatment and professional slights. Specifically, he highlighted an instance where the senator visited his home ward and engaged with local residents without notifying him, describing the omission as deeply hurtful and disrespectful given his local ties.

Tilde emphasized that political and public service partnerships must be anchored on mutual respect, trust, and acknowledgment of each other’s roles—conditions he believes have completely eroded. Concluding his resignation letter, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve, maintained a clear conscience regarding his tenure, and wished the senator well in his future pursuits.

Bombshell Verdict: Ayodele Fayose Destroys Peter Obi’s Choice, Declares Datti Baba-Ahmed A Total Failure!.

Published

Isaac Fayose, the younger sibling of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has launched a blistering critique against Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, labeling the former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate a political failure and asserting that Peter Obi made a grave miscalculation in choosing him as a running mate for the 2023 elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a video statement shared via his Facebook platform, Fayose alleged that Datti’s recent criticisms of Peter Obi stem from frustration over Obi’s prospective alliance with former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso for the 2027 polls. Fayose argued that Kwankwaso commands significantly stronger political influence in the Northern region compared to Datti, noting that Datti failed to deliver even his home state during the previous electoral cycle.

Directing sharp remarks at Datti, Fayose stated:

“Datti Ahmed is a failure. Nobody knew this man before Peter Obi picked him in 2022 as his running mate. In 2023, Datti Ahmed failed to win even his state. When Obi picked this guy in 2022, we were all shouting, who is this guy and why will Obi pick this kind of person? Looking at the way things are going now, Obi got it wrong. He is a failure and a jealous man. He is jealous that Obi did not pick him again this time. Datti Ahmed, thank you for wasting our time four years ago.”

Fayose concluded by contrasting Datti with the current political trajectory, asserting that the individual presently positioned alongside Obi boasts superior popularity, capability, and strategic clout across the North.

THE ULTIMATE POLITICAL SHOWDOWN: Fani-Kayode Drops A Savage Rant Demanding How US Lobbyists Managed To Fool Atiku!.

Published

on

Ambassador-Designate to South Africa, Femi Fani-Kayode, has launched a blistering attack against the United States-based lobbying firm Von Batten-Montague-York LC and its owner, Karl Ikemefuna Von Batten. Fani-Kayode accused the firm of circulating defamatory materials and an unsubstantiated $3 million bribery allegation against Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, which has flooded his social media inboxes.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In an assertive statement posted to his X handle, the former minister challenged Von Batten’s credibility and motives.

Key points from Fani-Kayode’s statement include:

  • Denial of Allegations: Fani-Kayode dismissed the claims that President Tinubu was bribed, labeling the information as “hogwash” and asserting that Tinubu has not been convicted of any crime.

  • Call for Due Process: He insisted that the ongoing US disclosure case concerning Tinubu should be allowed to run its course through the American judicial system, expressing confidence that the rule of law will prevail.

  • Personal Attack on the Lobbyist: Fani-Kayode directly questioned Karl Von Batten’s identity, educational background, and legitimacy. He alleged that Von Batten, who was reportedly born Ikemefuna Okeke, adopted his current surname through marriage and that there is no public record to substantiate his claims of attending prestigious universities like Oxford or Harvard.

  • Accusation of Misleading Atiku Abubakar: Fani-Kayode claimed that Von Batten was hired by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and paid $1.2 million for what he described as a futile and fruitless legal and lobbying campaign against President Tinubu. He sarcastically remarked, “How did you manage to fool His Excellency Abubakar Atiku… into paying you 1.2 million USD for pursuing a futile cause?”

  • Reaffirmation of Tinubu’s Position: Concluding his statement, Fani-Kayode declared that efforts by Von Batten and his firm will ultimately fail, stating that “President Tinubu’s destiny and fate is not in your hands but rather in the hands of God and the Nigerian people.”
