According to a statement from the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the NNPCL urged Nigerians not to heed unfounded rumors and assured them that there were no considerations for a hike in the PMS price.

The statement emphasized, “NNPC Ltd. urges Nigerians to disregard unfounded rumours and assures them that there are no plans for an upward review of the PMS price. Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country.”

Despite concerns expressed by oil marketers about potential petrol scarcity if the NNPCL fails to supply enough fuel to depot owners and other dealers, Soneye dismissed notions of a looming fuel crisis.

He addressed the issue, stating, “We are pleased to confirm that there are no supply issues and our products remain readily available. The recent tightness experienced in certain areas was due to a brief distribution issue in Lagos, which has since been resolved.”

Soneye reassured the public that the NNPCL had resolved distribution issues in some areas, emphasizing the continued availability of their products across the nation.

Marwa paid a high-level visit to the National Hospital in Abuja on Monday to check on two operatives, Ayegh Dooyun Zachariah and Shehu Jamil Ibrahim, who sustained severe injuries during a high-stakes raid in the Dawaki area on May 15, 2026.

“An Attack on Our Officers Is an Attack on the State”

During his visit to the trauma ward, Marwa expressed outrage over the “cowardly” nature of the attack, vowing that the agency would not rest until every perpetrator is identified and prosecuted.

  • Full Support: Marwa guaranteed that the agency would cover all medical expenses and welfare needs for the officers until they make a full recovery.

  • Zero Tolerance: The NDLEA boss emphasized that the agency would intensify its operations, stating that such violence would never deter the fight against illicit substances.

  • Justice Promised: “The Agency will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that those responsible for this cowardly attack are arrested, and brought to justice,” Marwa declared.

Honoring Bravery in the Line of Duty

To acknowledge the officers’ professionalism and high-risk service, Marwa took direct action to boost their morale and demonstrate the agency’s commitment to its personnel:

  1. Letters of Commendation: Both officers were presented with official letters of commendation personally signed by the Chairman.

  2. Additional Support: Approval for special support packages was granted to assist in their rehabilitation.

  3. Medical Recognition: Marwa formally thanked the National Hospital staff and the NDLEA medical team for their swift intervention in stabilizing the officers’ conditions.

Marwa’s Stance: “Their sacrifices in the fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse remain invaluable to the country. The agency will continue to stand by personnel injured in the line of duty.”

A Renewed Anti-Narcotics Offensive

Despite the violent resistance from hoodlums in the FCT, Marwa maintained that the NDLEA’s mandate remains unchanged. The agency is moving forward with a sharpened focus on dismantling drug cartels and cleansing local communities of illicit substances, proving that no amount of intimidation will slow down the national crackdown on narcotics.

With the spectacular stoppage victory, Hrgovic has cleared his final hurdle to set up a highly anticipated, high-stakes collision against the undefeated British-Nigerian phenom, Moses Itauma, scheduled for this August.

The Doncaster Demolition: How It Went Down

From the opening bell, Hrgovic put on a clinical display of power and precision, weaponizing his lethal straight right hand to dismantle Allen’s defenses.

  • The Dominance: Hrgovic pushed the Englishman onto the back foot early, picking his shots at will and steadily breaking Allen down.

  • The Controversial Slip: In the third round, Hrgovic detonated a vicious left hook that sent Allen crashing to the canvas. In a bizarre twist, referee Steve Grey waved it off as a slip.

  • The Towel Thrown: Recognizing the severe punishment his fighter was enduring, trainer Jamie Moore threw in the towel at the 2:37 mark of round three to save Allen from further damage.

Despite mixed reactions and boos from the local crowd over the sudden stoppage, Dave Allen vehemently defended his corner’s decision post-fight:

Dave Allen: “Jamie is like my brother, I love him to death… If Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis say it’s enough, then it’s enough. Thank you for looking after me.”

August Blockbuster: Hrgovic vs. Itauma Set for Manchester

With his record now elevated to 20-1 (15 KOs), Hrgovic wasted absolutely no time turning his sights toward the 21-year-old rising juggernaut, Moses Itauma.

Promoter George Warren confirmed that negotiations are in advanced stages, revealing that the mega-fight is shifting locations from London’s O2 Arena over to Manchester.

Filip Hrgovic: “Moses Itauma, anyone, I’ll have a chat with my team. I don’t think there are any cuts. I’ll sign the contract now.”

“The Battle Was Fierce!” Abdullahi Hails ADC Primaries, Confesses He Can’t Even Identify The Winner.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is locked in a high-stakes, nail-biting showdown following its nationwide presidential primary elections on Monday.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Appearing on Arise Television’s Prime Time, the National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, lauded the sheer scale of the internal election, boasting that the political structure is entirely free from godfatherism. However, the fiercely contested exercise has already been hit by explosive allegations of fraud and forced step-down plots by a frontline 2027 presidential hopeful.

“No Single Individual Controls Us” — Party Leadership Boasts

Abdullahi painted a picture of absolute democratic transparency, labeling the current exercise as the most unpredictable and competitive internal election he has ever witnessed in his political career:

  • Eminently Qualified Field: The party boasts three top-tier aspirants—Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, Atiku Abubakar, and Rotimi Amaechi—all of whom the leadership claims are more qualified to lead than President Bola Tinubu.

  • Too Close to Call: The competition is so stiff that party headquarters remains completely in the dark regarding localized victories.

  • Massive Turnout: Thousands of party members trooped out across various wards globally to cast their ballots, creating an unpredictable voting pattern.

Bolaji Abdullahi: “The ADC is the only party today that is not controlled by an individual… Even as I speak to you, I cannot tell you who won in my home state, Kwara, and in many other states that I have been closely watching. It is that competitive.”

Hayatu-Deen Blows the Whistle on “Ugly Criminality”

In sharp contrast to the leadership’s glowing review, frontline 2027 presidential aspirant Mohammed Hayatu-Deen has raised an alarm over sophisticated sabotage, intimidation, and electoral malpractice cutting across several northern states.

Speaking shortly after casting his vote in his home state of Borno, the seasoned politician exposed an underground plot to forcefully hijack the tickets:

1. Fake “Step-Down” Propaganda

Hayatu-Deen revealed that criminal elements deliberately misinformed gathered delegates in Kaduna State and Zaria, falsely claiming he had withdrawn from the race under a consensus arrangement to suppress his votes.

2. Result Manipulation & Seclusion

While praising the peaceful turnout in Southern Borno, he alleged that corrupt electoral officials explicitly refused to collate the votes in public. Instead, they reportedly fled to a secluded location to doctor the official result sheets away from voters and agents.

3. Coercive Phone Calls

The aspirant disclosed that he has faced immense psychological pressure from anonymous high-ranking individuals ordering him to abandon his presidential ambitions.

The Screened 3-Man Presidential Grid

The internal friction comes after the ADC officially cleared a heavyweight trio to battle for the party’s ultimate banner:

[ Mohammed Hayatu-Deen ] ⚡ [ Atiku Abubakar ] ⚡ [ Rotimi Amaechi ]

Mohammed Hayatu-Deen: “It is unimaginable that anybody could be so cheeky as to call me to step down… In Zaria, people were denied their rights. This act is criminal and fraudulent. We are not prepared to tolerate this criminality, and we are going to fight it to the end.”

While Hayatu-Deen has vowed to legally challenge the “ugly and disturbing” anomalies to preserve the party’s integrity ahead of the 2027 general elections, the ADC leadership insists the deadlock is merely a symptom of a highly functional, uncompromised democracy.
