Kwankwaso stated this to reporters in Abeokuta, immediately after addressing NNPP members at the party office in the state capital.

The NNPP presidential candidate denied plans to unite the party with other political parties ahead of the election next year.

“That’s complete rubbish,” Kwakwanso stated.
We think that we are not above the three or four parties in this country, but that by 2023, next year, with the grace of God, the NNPP would win national and all other levels of elections.

“So, these are people who are failed politicians who have nothing to tell Nigerians other than to spread unnecessary rumour of a merger.

“Merger is already gone. We have our candidates. In all the parties, everybody is campaigning. So, disregard that nonsense.”

Kwankwaso, on the other hand, lost his cool when asked if he would step aside for any contender, saying, “don’t question me that rubbish.”
In a statement to NNPP members, the presidential candidate pledged to strengthen Nigeria’s military forces with one million recruits if elected president.
