Tinubu’s Aide, Bwala, Slams ADC’s Abdullahi Over ‘Ideology Confusion’

In a social media post on Wednesday, Bwala cited two recent public engagements where Abdullahi was asked to explain the ADC’s ideology. He claimed that during the first interaction, Abdullahi admitted the party leadership was “still thinking about it,” and in a later appearance, he appeared confused, evasive, and confrontational.
Bwala linked the issue to Abdullahi’s recent book, The Loyalist, noting that opposition figures like Peter Obi and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar attended its launch. He argued that if the party’s spokesperson cannot clearly explain its ideology, it casts doubt on both his competence and the party’s vision.
He concluded with a jab at the party’s name, calling the ADC an “Association for a wild goose chase.”
Abdullahi, who previously served as APC National Publicity Secretary from 2016 to 2018, has positioned the ADC as a credible alternative amid public dissatisfaction over security, economic, and social issues. Party leaders, however, insist the ADC maintains a forward-looking, nationally focused ideology and rejects claims of ambiguity.

He disclosed this via his X handle on Saturday, describing the visit as a deeply touching moment.
Atiku said he appreciated the delegation and urged the new state leadership to prioritise unity, heal internal divisions, and ensure inclusive leadership.
He expressed confidence that the ADC has emerged as a strong opposition platform, built on structure and determination, capable of challenging the ruling APC in future elections.
