Kano Govt Issues Warning Over Insults On Kwankwaso, Vows Sanctions.

Naija News reports that the advisory was issued on Saturday by Bature Tofa, Director‑General of Media and Publicity at Government House, Kano, during a motorcycle distribution event for residents at the Open Space Theatre.
Tofa stressed that the government will not tolerate disrespect toward Kwankwaso, describing him as a political leader whose contributions to the state remain significant, regardless of recent political developments.
“We will not accept indiscipline or insults against the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Anyone engaging in such behavior will face consequences. We will not allow it,” Tofa said.
He further called on Governor Yusuf’s supporters to exercise restraint and maturity, particularly amid the heightened political tensions following recent shifts in the state’s political landscape.
Tofa added that maintaining peace and unity requires that political disagreements do not turn into personal attacks or abusive behavior.
The warning comes as reactions continue over Governor Yusuf’s resignation from the NNPP, a move that has drawn mixed responses within the Kwankwasiyya Movement and among Kano residents.
