‘Flirting With Opposition By Day, Wooing Tinubu By Night’ – Atiku’s Aide Slams Kwankwaso.

The Senior Political Assistant to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Demola Olarenwaju, on Saturday criticised former NNPP presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso, saying it is unacceptable to “flirt with the opposition by day and court President Bola Tinubu by night.”....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Naija News reports that Olarenwaju made the remarks in a post on , urging Kwankwaso and other opposition figures to abandon political indecision and take a firm stand for alternative politics in Nigeria.

He said Kwankwaso should emulate leaders who boldly reshaped Nigeria’s political scene, including Atiku, former Kaduna State governor Nasir El‑Rufai, ex-Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, and former Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola, all of whom helped form the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

“The likes of Kwankwaso and other hesitant opposition leaders must show courage and make definitive choices, like Atiku, El‑Rufai, Amaechi, Aregbesola, Obi, and others did to build the ADC coalition,” Olarenwaju wrote.

He added that sending mixed signals only fuels public distrust and internal tensions within the opposition.

“Flirting with the opposition by day and seducing Tinubu at night is exactly why Fayose is writing exposés,” he noted.

Olarenwaju also claimed that Kwankwaso missed a chance to strengthen the NNPP as a solid political platform, comparing him unfavorably to his Second Republic mentor, Aminu Kano, who maintained the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) despite setbacks.

“Kwankwaso could have developed the NNPP from Kano State the way Aminu Kano did with the PRP, even after Balarabe Musa was impeached and Abubakar Rimi resigned and defected to the NPP,” he said.

The aide further criticised Kwankwaso for allegedly paving the way for Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf’s defection from the NNPP to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“By negotiating with the APC, RMK effectively opened the door for Abba Yusuf to join the ruling party,” Olarenwaju stated.

He urged political leaders to avoid self-serving meetings with the presidency, saying:

“Anyone still visiting Aso Rock to hold talks with Tinubu is prioritising personal interests over the Nigerian people.”

Sam Amadi Makes Fresh Revelation About Uzodinma, Says Governor ‘Cries A Lot’.

Former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sam Amadi, has commented on the disqualification of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Imo West senatorial election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Federal High Court in Abuja had, on Thursday, ruled that Uzodinma was not the valid winner of the APC senatorial primary conducted in May.

The court subsequently directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to replace the governor’s name with that of former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Reacting to the judgment in a post on his Facebook page on Friday, Amadi suggested that Uzodinma might have been treated unfairly.

He questioned the circumstances surrounding the court’s decision, referring to a video showing the governor addressing journalists alongside his wife, with a large crowd of APC members behind them during the primary election.

Amadi argued that although Uzodinma might have been responsible for several controversies, that did not necessarily mean he was guilty of every allegation against him.

He wrote, “Hope Uzodimma may be guilty of many things. But it does not mean he is guilty of everything. It MAY not be true that he is not rightfully the candidate of APC for the Orlu Zone Senate position.

“I saw video and television report of Hope Uzodimma standing with his wife on the line with a sizable crowd behind him.

“The Igbos say that a child that often cries does not make it easy to know when he is beaten. Hope cries a lot. When he is a victim of injustice we may not pay attention.

“Let us see the evidence of Okorocha’s primary election. We are not a court, but we can say, ‘oh probably his crowd is bigger than Hope’s.’”

Mujidat Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of President Bola Tinubu, has called on Nigerians not to vote for African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar or Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi in the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Tinubu-Ojo, who is the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, warned that electing either opposition figure would take the country backwards and undo the progress she believes has been recorded under her father’s administration.

She made the remarks on Thursday during the launch of the Iyaloja General Movement (IGM) for Renewed Hope Initiatives at Eagle Square in Abuja.

Speaking at the event, Tinubu-Ojo disclosed that the movement had established structures across the 36 states, local government areas and wards in the country.

She also defended her father’s administration, saying President Tinubu had introduced policies aimed at improving the economy, even though Nigerians were currently experiencing their effects.

While acknowledging that the policies had made life difficult for many citizens, she expressed confidence that the situation would improve over time.

Tinubu-Ojo said the movement was established to mobilise market leaders and educate Nigerians on the choices before them in the next general elections.

She said, “What we are putting together as market leaders is to encourage our people, to sensitise them on the next election, and on which direction they should follow.

“What he is doing right now is like a pregnant woman going through labour. We are labouring now. Almost all Nigerians are feeling what he is doing now. The policies are painful, but the end result will justify the means.”

Peter Obi’s Camp Fires Back At Okorocha Over ‘Four-Year Gambling’ Comment.

The camp of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has rejected former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha’s description of the proposed single-term presidency as “a four-year gambling.”....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Okorocha had praised Obi as a “fantastic gentleman” with a clear mind but cautioned that the Igbo people could not afford to take a risk with a four-year presidential term.

“Obi is a fantastic gentleman, clear in his head. Oh, there’s nothing wrong with him. But we can’t gamble. We can’t do a four-year gamble this time,” he said.

The former governor acknowledged that he had previously supported the idea of a single-term presidency but argued that the prevailing political situation had changed.

Reacting in a statement on Friday, the Director-General of the NDC National Campaign Council, Ibrahim Abdulkarim, said the party appreciated Okorocha’s positive description of Obi but disagreed with his position on the proposed one-term arrangement.

Abdulkarim said a four-year presidency should not be regarded as a gamble, insisting that a sincere leader with a clear vision could achieve significant progress within that period.

He said, “We have reviewed Senator Rochas Okorocha’s comments on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

“We accept his description of Peter Obi as ‘a fantastic gentleman; clear in his head.’ On the claim that a single term is ‘a four-year gambling,’ we respectfully disagree.”

According to Abdulkarim, four years is sufficient for a committed leader to transform the country if there is a clear plan and genuine determination to deliver results.

He added that Obi was prepared to serve for only one term, with the intention of addressing Nigeria’s challenges rather than gambling with the future of its citizens.
