Sam Amadi Makes Fresh Revelation About Uzodinma, Says Governor ‘Cries A Lot’.

Former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sam Amadi, has commented on the disqualification of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Imo West senatorial election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Federal High Court in Abuja had, on Thursday, ruled that Uzodinma was not the valid winner of the APC senatorial primary conducted in May.

The court subsequently directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to replace the governor’s name with that of former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Reacting to the judgment in a post on his Facebook page on Friday, Amadi suggested that Uzodinma might have been treated unfairly.

He questioned the circumstances surrounding the court’s decision, referring to a video showing the governor addressing journalists alongside his wife, with a large crowd of APC members behind them during the primary election.

Amadi argued that although Uzodinma might have been responsible for several controversies, that did not necessarily mean he was guilty of every allegation against him.

He wrote, “Hope Uzodimma may be guilty of many things. But it does not mean he is guilty of everything. It MAY not be true that he is not rightfully the candidate of APC for the Orlu Zone Senate position.

“I saw video and television report of Hope Uzodimma standing with his wife on the line with a sizable crowd behind him.

“The Igbos say that a child that often cries does not make it easy to know when he is beaten. Hope cries a lot. When he is a victim of injustice we may not pay attention.

“Let us see the evidence of Okorocha’s primary election. We are not a court, but we can say, ‘oh probably his crowd is bigger than Hope’s.’”

The reality TV star expressed her displeasure over the speculation, saying she prefers to keep her personal life private rather than engage in public discussions about her relationship.

Dorathy also accused social media users of deliberately provoking her through their comments and assumptions.

She urged them to respect her privacy and allow her to go about her daily activities without unnecessary attention.

In a post shared on her social media page on Saturday, she wrote: “For someone who minds her business, you people really love to poke me. Leave me alone.”

The engagement rumours began after a romantic video of Dorathy and Broda Shaggi surfaced online, showing the pair sharing an intimate moment.

In the viral clip, Dorathy was seen lying beside the comedian on a bed while displaying what appeared to be an engagement ring to the camera.

Broda Shaggi also thanked her for standing by him during a difficult period in his life.

He said: “The first day I saw you, something in my heart knew you were the one. I have finally found my missing ribs.”

‘Four Years Won’t Be Enough’ – Benjamin Kalu Speaks On Igbo Presidency.

Published

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has insisted that the Igbo people should not wait 60 years for the opportunity to produce Nigeria’s president only to serve a single four-year term.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Kalu maintained that the South-East should be allowed to complete a full eight-year presidential tenure when power eventually rotates to the region.

He criticised some South-East indigenes advocating for the Igbo people to accept a one-term, four-year presidency.

The position differs from that of the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, who had earlier declared that he would serve only one term of four years if elected president.

However, Kalu argued that the South-East deserves the same opportunity to serve two consecutive terms as other regions that have produced Nigerian presidents.

The Deputy Speaker made his position known on Saturday at a women’s rally organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu.

He also expressed concern over promises allegedly made to the South-East concerning the presidency, which he said had remained unfulfilled over the years.

Kalu said: “Let me say this that some people are going around telling us that they have made an agreement that Igbos will go for the Presidency for four years.

“Even as Igbos, we have been promised things that never came true. We can’t wait 60 years just to be president for four years.

“Upon the rotation of the presidency to our zone, the Igbo people shall be accorded a complete eight-year tenure, identical to that granted to other regions.”

Political Battle Intensifies In Imo As Uzodimma, Okorocha Camps Clash Over Senate Seat

Published

The contest for the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial ticket for Imo West has sparked a heated exchange on social media, with supporters of Governor Hope Uzodimma and former Governor Rochas Okorocha taking opposing positions.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The disagreement followed Thursday’s ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja, which nullified Uzodimma’s candidacy and recognised Okorocha as the winner of the party’s May 18 primary.

While supporters of the governor have described the judgment as a miscarriage of justice, those backing Okorocha have welcomed the court’s decision.

Speaking with The Punch on Saturday, Uzodimma’s Senior Special Assistant on Electronic and Creative Media, Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, called for the judgment to be reviewed.

A supporter of the governor, Ndubuisi Ifedoro, also warned that the APC could lose the senatorial seat if Okorocha emerged as its candidate.

Ifedoro said he would rather forfeit his vote than support the former governor.

“We don’t reward failure! He does not deserve my vote,” he said.

He added that if Uzodimma was not on the ballot, his supporters would consider backing any candidate who was willing to address their concerns.

“Our votes must be earned, not demanded,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Forum of Senior Special Advisers to Local Governments, through its spokesperson, Unegbu Onyedikachi, called on the National Judicial Council (NJC) to investigate the judge who delivered the ruling, Justice Obiora Egwuatu.

Onyedikachi based the demand on comments he attributed to Okorocha during a television interview, alleging that the former governor had claimed that influential forces were behind his court victory.

He also urged the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate the matter.

However, an Okorocha supporter, Pascal Oguguo, described the ruling as a deserved reward for the former governor’s loyalty to the APC and President Bola Tinubu.

Oguguo argued that Okorocha had risked his political career as an Igbo man to establish the APC in the South-East.

Similarly, Ezinne Precious, a former student union leader at Imo State University, maintained that Okorocha deserved the ticket because of his efforts to build the party in the region when it was unpopular.

“I strongly believe that people who made sacrifices and took political risks when the journey was uncertain should not be forgotten when opportunities and rewards come,” she said.

She further argued that since Okorocha participated in and won the party’s primary, the matter raised important questions about internal democracy and respect for the outcome of the exercise.

“This makes the question of internal democracy, fairness and respect for the outcome of the primary particularly important,” she added.
