“Abba Now Dancing To Ganduje’s Tune” – ADC’s Okai Blasts Kano Gov Over Aide’s Sack.
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Austin Okai, has criticised the decision of Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, to sack a close associate of his former political mentor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, describing the action as a betrayal of the mandate entrusted to him by the people.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Okai faulted the governor for removing Sunusi Surajo, a known loyalist of Kwankwaso, and appointing Mustapha Bakwana, a former aide to ex-Kano State Governor and former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page on Sunday, Okai expressed dismay that the political structure painstakingly built by Kwankwaso was allegedly being handed over to his long-time rival.
He wrote, “Governor Abba Yusuf has appointed Mustapha Bakwana, a former political adviser to ex-Governor Ganduje, as his new political adviser, replacing Surajo Kwankwaso.”
According to Okai, the move clearly reflected a change in political allegiance by the governor.

“You can now see that he is dancing to the tune of Ganduje,” he added.
It would be recalled that less than 24 hours after Governor Yusuf announced his resignation from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), he removed Surajo from his position as Special Adviser on Political Matters.
Surajo was widely regarded as a trusted loyalist of Kwankwaso, the national leader of the NNPP and the political figure credited with Yusuf’s emergence as governor.

The governor later named Bakwana as Surajo’s replacement, a development that has continued to spark reactions across political circles in the state.
Okai further accused Yusuf of abandoning the political machinery that brought him to power.
“Kwankwaso fought tirelessly with Ganduje to deliver Abba. After being delivered, Abba has now joined forces with Ganduje to fight RMK,” he said.

The ADC chieftain also criticised what he described as the nature of Nigerian politics, where loyalty is often traded for personal survival.
“This is why you hardly see politicians complaining about HBP, because HBP and real politics are inseparable,” Okai stated.
The political development comes amid ongoing realignments in Kano State following Yusuf’s exit from the NNPP, a move that has further fuelled speculation over shifting alliances ahead of future political contests.
