Speaking on his verified account on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Nwoko emphasized that the facility is designed to inspire young people, encourage healthy competition, and foster unity among communities in Delta North.
“This stadium was conceived to inspire our youths, promote healthy competition, and strengthen community spirit,” the senator stated, noting that the project reflects his commitment to delivering meaningful and sustainable community initiatives.
He added that the stadium is more than a sports facility, calling it “a space that nurtures dreams and connects the people through shared pride.” The venue features a standard football pitch, a seven-a-side multi-sports arena, pavilions on both sides, and fully equipped dressing rooms, making it a hub for sports development, recreation, and talent discovery.
“With this stadium, we are nurturing the next generation of athletes and leaders who will make Delta North proud,” Nwoko said, as youth groups and sports enthusiasts in the region praised the facility as “a landmark addition” to the community’s infrastructure.
The senator reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development, pledging to continue initiating people-focused projects across Delta North. He encouraged local leaders, youth organizations, and sports associations to take ownership of the stadium to ensure its long-term sustainability.
Beyond community development, Nwoko has also sponsored legislative initiatives aimed at national progress. He recently proposed a bill to establish, develop, and manage ranches across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas and the Federal Capital Territory. The legislation seeks to promote modern livestock farming, curb open grazing, enhance food security, and strengthen nationwide agricultural productivity.

Morning Recap: Nigerians Injured In Iran‑UAE Missile Strikes; Why Boko Haram, ISWAP Are Targeting Military Bases.
Over 140 residents, including Nigerians, were injured after Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles and drones at the United Arab Emirates, heightening concerns for thousands of Nigerians living and working in the Gulf nation.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The UAE Ministry of Defence said on Saturday that its air defence systems intercepted several of the incoming missiles and drones, calling the assault a significant escalation in regional tensions. According to its statement on X, air defence units engaged nine ballistic missiles and 33 drones during the March 14 attack, which left six dead and 141 injured, including foreign nationals.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Defence Minister, Christopher Musa, linked the increase in attacks to terrorists’ belief that dying during combat guarantees them entry to paradise, particularly during Ramadan. “As usual during Ramadan, these terrorists believe that death brings them to heaven, so they are willing to commit offenses or sacrifice themselves for their cause,” he said.
Why Boko Haram and ISWAP Are Targeting Military Bases
In northern Nigeria, a surge of coordinated attacks by Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) on military formations and civilian communities is raising fears of a renewed insurgency.
In the past three weeks alone, at least 65 Nigerian soldiers have been killed in assaults across Borno and Katsina states. Security experts say the attacks are part of a calculated effort by insurgents to reclaim territory and reinforce control in parts of the North-East.

Man In Viral Ramadan Palliative Video Mentally ill — Kebbi Govt.
The Kebbi State Government has refuted claims of inadequate Ramadan palliative distribution in Dandi Local Government Area, describing a viral video circulating on social media as a “stage-managed drama” by political opponents.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The video showed a man, Abduljalal Usman, claiming he received only one mudu of rice and one mudu of maize as his share of palliatives meant for staff of the Dandi Local Government Education Authority.
In a statement on Sunday, Governor Nasir Idris’ Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Abdullahi Idris, said the man is a known psychiatric patient who was manipulated for political purposes. He added that the claim was false and inconsistent with the actual palliative composition, which included rice and millet—not maize.
Idris noted that when the video was recorded, the palliative allocation had not yet arrived at the council headquarters. He also highlighted that the Ramadan intervention programme has been widely welcomed by residents, particularly during the holy month.
“The distribution of grains by the governor has been widely applauded by the people. It is therefore not surprising that such support has unsettled the opposition ahead of the 2027 political season,” Idris said.
The adviser further alleged the video is part of a broader campaign to discredit the administration, citing previous staged incidents and exaggerated reports of bandit attacks. He emphasized that misinformation will not undermine public confidence in Governor Idris’ commitment to peace and development.
Meanwhile, the suspension of Abduljalal Usman by the Dandi Local Government Authority has been lifted pending investigation.
