Timi Frank Calls on Trump, World Leaders to Recognize Cameroon’s Opposition Candidate as President
Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has urged former U.S. President Donald Trump and other world leaders to recognize Issa Tchiroma Bakary, the opposition candidate, as the rightful winner of Cameroon’s recent presidential election.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Frank made the call in a statement on Sunday, saying the people of Cameroon have spoken through the ballot and that the international community must respect their decision. He accused the current Cameroonian administration of manipulating the electoral process and denying citizens their democratic rights.
“The will of the people of Cameroon must not be suppressed. I call on President Donald Trump and world leaders to recognize Issa Tchiroma Bakary as the duly elected President of Cameroon,” Frank said.
He noted that democracy in Africa will continue to suffer if powerful nations fail to speak out against electoral fraud and human rights violations. According to him, it is time for the global community to stand on the side of truth and justice.
Frank said the opposition candidate, Bakary, represents hope and progress for the Cameroonian people, adding that recognizing him would strengthen democratic values across Africa.
He also appealed to the African Union (AU), the United Nations (UN), and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) to intervene and ensure that the election reflects the will of the people.
“The people have suffered for too long under a system that silences their voices. Africa cannot continue to support leaders who impose themselves through rigged elections,” he added.
Frank, known for his strong political opinions and advocacy for good governance in Africa, said global silence over unfair elections encourages dictatorship and undermines regional peace.
He further called on international election observers and human rights groups to document and expose all forms of irregularities that occurred during the election, insisting that transparency is key to restoring the people’s trust in democracy.
“The struggle for democracy is not just about Cameroon; it is about Africa’s future. If we allow injustice to stand in one country, it affects us all,” Frank stated.
He urged African leaders to respect the rule of law and warned that history will not be kind to those who stay silent in the face of oppression.
Frank concluded by saying that only fairness, transparency, and international support for true democracy can bring lasting peace and stability to the continent.

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
