In an interview with former BBNaija star and host Doyin David, Imisi described Kola as her “safe space” during her time on the reality show. She said Kola was always there for her whenever she felt sad or overwhelmed by events in the house.

“Kola was my only safe space in the house. When I was down, he always found a way to make me smile. We were there for each other,” Imisi said.

Kola also spoke about their connection in a separate interview after the show’s finale, describing their friendship as genuine and free of romantic interest. He said Imisi is like a sister to him and that they both respected each other’s boundaries throughout the competition.

“Imisi is someone I care about deeply. She’s like my sister. Our friendship is purely platonic,” Kola said.

How Their Bond Started

The pair’s friendship began in the first week of the reality show. Kola said he was drawn to Imisi’s openness and her ability to stay calm even under pressure. They spent time sharing personal stories and comforting each other during difficult moments.

Imisi revealed that her past experiences made her more emotional in the house and that Kola’s presence helped her stay strong. “There were days I felt like giving up, but Kola’s words encouraged me. He reminded me why I was there,” she said.

Support Despite Competition

Even though both competed for the ₦150 million grand prize, Kola said he felt proud when Imisi emerged the winner. According to him, watching someone he cared about achieve success was a victory in itself.

“I wanted to win, but I’m genuinely happy for her. She worked hard, and she deserved it,” he said.

Imisi also praised Kola’s sportsmanship, saying his positive attitude made the show easier for her. “He supported me even when we were rivals in the game. That meant a lot,” she said.

Fans React to Their Friendship

Their bond has become one of the most talked-about relationships from BBNaija Season 10. Many fans have praised them for showing that men and women can build strong friendships without romance. On social media, clips of their emotional conversations and teamwork have gone viral, with fans calling them “the real friendship goals” of the season.

Media analysts say the pair’s connection gave viewers a refreshing story of trust and kindness in a competitive environment often filled with drama and rivalry.

Looking Ahead

As Imisi begins her post-show journey, she said she plans to focus on charity work and brand partnerships, while Kola said he hopes to expand his acting career. Both expressed gratitude to their fans for the love and support since leaving the BBNaija house.
