The single, released Sept. 25, was produced by UCee and Odumodublvck, with additional vocals from Mizzle and Juno. The song continues the rapper’s reputation for blending hip-hop and Afrobeats, a style that has brought him growing international attention.
The upcoming 23-track project features some of the biggest names in music. Wizkid appears on the track “Big Time,” while Davido and Afrobeat pioneer Seun Kuti join forces on “Grooving.” Other featured artists include British rappers Skepta and Stormzy, American rapper Saweetie, and Nigerian stars Patoranking, Zlatan, Phyno, and Reminisce.
Odumodublvck, whose real name is Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, rose to prominence with his 2022 breakout hit “Declan Rice.” The song helped introduce him as one of the leading voices of Nigeria’s new wave of rap artists. His music often combines brash rap verses with Afrobeats rhythms, creating a sound that resonates with both Nigerian fans and international audiences.
“Industry Machine” sets the tone for the album, which Odumodublvck has described in interviews as a bold statement about his rise in the music industry. The title reflects both his determination and his critique of the challenges faced by African artists trying to break into the global market.
The collaboration with Wizkid, one of Nigeria’s most successful global artists, is expected to be a highlight of the album. Wizkid’s track record of international hits, including “Essence” and “Ojuelegba,” makes his presence a major draw for fans across Africa and abroad.
Davido’s inclusion also adds weight to the project. Known for chart-topping singles like “Fall” and “If,” Davido is one of Afrobeats’ most recognizable voices. Pairing him with Seun Kuti, son of legendary Afrobeat founder Fela Kuti, reflects Odumodublvck’s effort to connect modern rap and Afrobeats with the genre’s original roots.
The album also leans on collaborations with international stars such as Skepta and Stormzy, both celebrated for their influence in British rap and grime. Their participation signals Odumodublvck’s growing reach in the United Kingdom, a market where Afrobeats continues to gain momentum.
American rapper Saweetie, best known for hits like “My Type” and “Best Friend,” adds a U.S. connection to the tracklist. This inclusion could help Odumodublvck’s music reach new listeners in North America.
Industry analysts say the rapper’s mix of African and international collaborations shows how Nigerian artists are expanding their footprint worldwide. Afrobeats has already produced global stars like Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido. Odumodublvck’s project suggests he is positioning himself as the next big crossover act.
“This album feels like a turning point for Odumodublvck,” said Lagos-based music critic Funmi Adeyemi. “He has built a loyal fan base in Nigeria, but with these collaborations he is clearly aiming for the global stage.”
The rapper has also built a reputation for high-energy live performances and outspoken lyrics that challenge Nigeria’s cultural and political landscape. Fans expect the new album to carry the same intensity.
Native Records, which is backing the release, is part of Native Networks, a Lagos and London-based media platform focused on African youth culture. The label has supported other rising Nigerian talents and is seen as part of a new wave of African-owned platforms pushing local artists onto the world stage.
Odumodublvck’s “Industry Machine” album is scheduled to be available on major streaming platforms starting Oct. 6. With 23 tracks and a long list of collaborators, the project represents one of the most ambitious releases from a Nigerian rapper this year.
For fans of Afrobeats and hip-hop, the release could mark another step in Nigeria’s growing role in shaping global music trends.
