Governor Abiodun Mourns Oladunjoye, Hails Him as Ogun APC’s Finest Spokesman

Speaking on Sunday during the Fidau Prayer held in honour of the late Oladunjoye at St. John Community Primary School, Ijebu Itele, Governor Abiodun praised his dedication, resourcefulness, and unwavering loyalty. He described Oladunjoye, who served as the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun, as a tenacious and effective communicator who played a critical role in stabilizing the administration from its early days.
“As a party loyalist and aide, Oladunjoye consistently went above and beyond to promote and defend the government’s principles, programmes, and image. He was one of the most outstanding spokespersons Ogun APC has ever produced,” Abiodun noted.
The governor reflected on Oladunjoye’s relentless efforts in various sectors and emphasized his contributions to the party’s credibility and public appeal. “He was frank, principled, and focused—a prolific writer and fearless advocate for the common man,” he said.
Governor Abiodun also highlighted the late politician’s philanthropic spirit, especially his concern for journalists and ordinary citizens. He assured the family of the state government’s continued support and prayed for strength and comfort for them in their loss.
Chief Yemi Sanusi, Ogun APC Chairman, also spoke at the prayer event, expressing deep sorrow over the loss. He recalled the late spokesperson’s strategic input and resilience during difficult times in the party’s journey.
Prince Adebayo Apelogun, the 2025 Amirul Hajj and National President of ACOMORAN, urged attendees to live purposeful lives, reminding them of life’s unpredictability. He said Oladunjoye had fulfilled his purpose and left a worthy legacy.
In an emotional tribute, Robiat Oladunjoye, daughter of the deceased, remembered her father as a man of peace, simplicity, and integrity. She described him as a father figure to many, whose legacy would continue to impact lives.
