The rebuttal came through a statement issued on Monday by Marcel Ngogbehei, Director-General of the party’s Directorate of Mobilization and Integration. He clarified that the cited Supreme Court decision referenced by HURIWA had no bearing on the convention or its outcomes. According to Ngogbehei, there is no legal judgment that nullifies Abure’s election or disqualifies him from holding the office of National Chairman.

The party criticized HURIWA for allegedly misrepresenting legal facts and spreading misinformation. It urged the group to seek sound legal advice before making public declarations, especially on matters of national importance.
