He emphasized that his administration is aware of the rising cost of living and unemployment challenges, and assured the nation that efforts are underway to create sustainable solutions.
Reflecting on Nigeria’s 64-year journey since independence, Tinubu praised the country’s resilience and the successes it has achieved despite various crises, including the civil war and other political upheavals. He encouraged Nigerians to focus not just on the nation’s shortcomings but on how far it has come, maintaining unity and strength through difficult times.
The President reiterated that his government, which took office 16 months ago, inherited a weak economy and significant security concerns. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to economic and security reforms, noting the importance of these changes in ensuring Nigeria’s future prosperity. Tinubu pointed to the notable progress made in fighting terrorism, banditry, and violent extremism, particularly in the North, where peace has been restored to numerous communities.
On the economic front, Tinubu highlighted significant foreign direct investments, fiscal reforms, and efforts to stabilize Nigeria’s currency. He also announced that over $30 billion in foreign investments had been secured in the past year, with ongoing reforms in the oil and gas sector to boost production.
President Tinubu also addressed the high cost of living, particularly food prices, and highlighted various government initiatives to increase agricultural production, including support for mechanized farming and the establishment of a local assembly plant for tractors and farming equipment. He praised state governors for embracing these agricultural initiatives and called for more states to join in.
In his speech, Tinubu unveiled plans to foster national unity through a National Youth Conference, aimed at empowering young Nigerians to actively participate in nation-building. He stressed the importance of engaging youth, who make up over 60% of the population, in addressing issues like education, employment, and innovation.
As he concluded, Tinubu called on Nigerians to remain patient and hopeful, reiterating that despite the difficulties, the administration is working to create a better future for all. He urged the public to support the government’s efforts and participate in the collective task of building a stronger, more united Nigeria.

Atiku Opens Up On ADC 2027 Game Plan, Says Consensus Candidate Comes First.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will first pursue a consensus arrangement before considering a primary election for its 2027 presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Atiku made this known during an interview on Arise Television on Wednesday while discussing the party’s leadership and strategy ahead of the next general election.
He said he is open to backing a consensus candidate if that becomes the party’s collective decision, stressing that such support should not be interpreted as stepping aside.
“It is not about stepping aside, but whether I am willing to support, and yes, I will,” Atiku said.
According to him, the ADC’s first priority is to build internal unity and reach an agreement among stakeholders before considering a competitive primary process.
“Our first option will be to work out a consensus. If that doesn’t happen, then of course we will explore other options. And yes, I will support whoever eventually emerges,” he stated.
Atiku also expressed confidence in the political experience within the party, saying he believes a consensus is achievable and may make a full-scale primary contest unnecessary.
“That remains our preferred path. We will go for primaries if consensus fails, but I honestly do not expect it to get to that stage because we are dealing with mature and experienced politicians,” he added.
His comments come amid growing political consultations and coalition talks as parties begin to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
