Famous American singer Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has recently shared her thoughts on fame, describing it as something that can sometimes feel like a prison. In an insightful interview with GQ, the 43-year-old artist discussed her evolving approach to music and creativity.

Beyoncé explained that she now creates music at her own pace, prioritizing innovation over perfectionism. She emphasized the importance of storytelling, growth, and quality in her work. “I create at my own pace, on things that I hope will touch other people,” she stated. “I hope my work encourages people to look within themselves and come to terms with their own creativity, strength, and resilience.”

Fame, according to Beyoncé, can be a burden. She mentioned that she often disappears from the public eye when not sharing her art, saying, “It is fame that can at times feel like prison. So, when you don’t see me on red carpets, and when I disappear until I have art to share, that’s why.”

Currently working on her music for the upcoming project Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé expressed that this exciting endeavor feels liberating rather than burdensome. “In fact, I only work on what liberates me,” she added, highlighting her commitment to creative freedom.
