THE 2027 EARTHQUAKE: Atiku Drops Massive Fresh Promise That Will Change Nigeria Forever!.

African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has pledged to fully reopen Nigeria’s land borders if elected in 2027, arguing that current restrictions have crippled legitimate transborder commerce and left many young entrepreneurs bankrupt. In a video shared by ADC chieftain Dele Momodu, Atiku emphasized that northern states rely heavily on cross-border trade with neighboring countries like Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Benin, and that shutting these borders has destroyed millions in business capital while fueling youth unemployment and insecurity.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Beyond border reopening, Atiku outlined plans to upgrade southern port infrastructure in locations such as Calabar, Uyo, and Port Harcourt to ease the logistics bottleneck. Drawing on his experience running a factory in Yola, he pointed out that transporting containers from Lagos to the North-East takes up to two months due to poor roads and long distances, whereas shipments from southern ports could reach Yola in just 24 hours if proper infrastructure were established.

While previous administrations—beginning with nationwide closures under President Muhammadu Buhari in August 2019 to curb smuggling, and followed by selective reopenings including the Tsamiya and Kamba borders under President Tinubu in February 2026—have partially eased restrictions, many land borders continue to face tight controls.

Norway’s King Harald V has passed away at the age of 89 following a prolonged battle with health issues, making way for his son, Crown Prince Haakon, to ascend the throne. The Norwegian Royal Palace confirmed that the king died peacefully at 6:35 a.m. on Friday, August 28, at Oslo University Hospital. Flags at the Royal Palace were immediately lowered to half-mast as citizens gathered to leave flowers and mourn.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Harald had been hospitalized since August 17 due to haemolytic anaemia, a condition causing rapid red blood cell destruction. After his health worsened sharply on Thursday, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and close family members rushed to his bedside, with Haakon staying through the night. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store also canceled a scheduled trip to Germany as the crisis unfolded.

Public tributes highlighted the late monarch’s unifying presence. Citizens remembered him as a warm, steady figure who championed social inclusion and stood as a pillar against growing political polarization. Having assumed the throne in 1991 after his father King Olav V’s passing, Harald was Europe’s oldest reigning monarch and consistently refused to abdicate, honoring the oath he took before parliament for life.

The royal family has navigated several recent challenges alongside the king’s failing health, including Queen Sonja’s brief hospitalization in May and Crown Prince Haakon’s wife, Mette-Marit, undergoing a lung transplant in July. Mette-Marit also faced scrutiny over past correspondence with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, while her son, Marius Borg Hoiby, was sentenced in June to four years in prison for multiple offenses.
