Ukraine Accuses Russia of Targeting Civilians in Latest Assault, Urges Global Condemnation....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, has accused Russia of committing war crimes by attacking civilians during a recent assault on the Ukrainian cities of Lviv and Kryvyi Rih. These alarming claims were shared on Kuleba’s official account on the micro-blogging platform X.
In his post, Kuleba stated, “This night, Russia launched another brutal attack on the residential areas of two major cities, Lviv and Kryvyi Rih. There are civilians who have been injured or killed, including children.” Reports indicate that the assault involved the use of drones and missiles targeting residential neighborhoods.
Kuleba condemned the strikes, emphasizing the nature of the attacks: “Russia used missiles and drones to attack people in their homes while they were sleeping at night. Ordinary homes, schools, and hospitals were also hit. In Lviv’s UNESCO-protected zone, heritage buildings were damaged.”
The minister called on global leaders, ministers, and international organizations to denounce Russia’s actions. He urged for immediate statements and actions against what he termed Russia’s war crimes against civilians. “To put an end to this terror, Ukraine’s partners must promptly deliver the promised air defense systems and ammunition, as well as strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and allow us to launch long-range strikes on all legitimate military targets in Russia,” he added.
Kuleba also highlighted the need for partner nations to support Ukraine in protecting its civilian population. “Partner air defense can and must be used to protect civilian people in Ukraine. Shooting down pieces of deadly metal in the air does not constitute a country’s participation in the war,” he explained. He insisted that saving human lives should not be viewed as an escalation of conflict.
Kuleba further stressed the importance of allowing neighboring countries to utilize air defense systems, emphasizing that “Russia understands only one language: the language of strength.” He called for decisive action and leadership to bring about a just resolution to Russian aggression and terror.
