Speaking at a gathering with his supporters and party members at his Freedom House office in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, Abe recounted how Amaechi visited his residence and warned him against contesting for the governorship, fearing it would disrupt party unity.

“Amaechi declared that our rebellion wouldn’t last six months, and that after that period, we would all suffer and come back to him,” Abe revealed. “But it’s been over six years now, and look at us. We’ve shaken the establishment, deflated their influence, and they’ve fled the party. That’s why it’s imperative for us to return to the party, and do so promptly.”

Appealing to his supporters, Abe urged them to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State to rally behind President Bola Tinubu’s government. Eventually, the men agreed to lend her the money. However, she later ran into difficulties repaying the loan. The unpaid debt led to threats from the lenders, who eventually came to her home.
