Governor Bala Mohammed Enacts Six Executive Bills To Enhance Governance In Bauchi State

The bills encompass various facets of state affairs, including the renaming of the state-owned university to Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau; the repeal of the Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Act of 2012 to establish the Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Board; the establishment of the Bauchi State Farmers/Herders Board; the creation of the Bauchi State Rural Access Road Authority (RARA) 2024; and initiatives promoting children’s access to education in Bauchi State.
Governor Mohammed commended the State House of Assembly for their meticulous examination of the bills, underscoring the symbiotic relationship between the legislative and executive branches of government.
He emphasized the imperative of sustained collaboration among government arms for the advancement of the state’s socio-economic landscape, pledging continued cooperation with the Assembly for the welfare of the populace.
Highlighting the pivotal role of these laws in fostering societal progress, Governor Mohammed stressed their proper implementation would foster peace, stability, improved education, and rural development across the state.
Expressing appreciation to the legislators for their steadfast support, he vowed to reciprocate by championing sustainable progress and good governance.
The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abubakar Suleiman, reiterated the transformative impact of law implementation on citizens’ lives. He called on the public to maintain support for the current administration, attributing the state’s infrastructure and progress to the harmonious collaboration between the legislature and the executive branch.
Suleiman affirmed that the bills presented to the assembly are Executive Bills meticulously examined to align with the governor’s development agenda.
