The All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart breathed his last on Sunday, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication to his constituents.
Sodangi, who served as the Chairman of the Campaign Council for the re-election of Governor Abdullahi Sule in 2023, had a distinguished political career spanning several decades.
Born on January 31, 1954, Sodangi was elected Senator for the Nasarawa West Constituency of Nasarawa State. He assumed office in May 1999 and was re-elected in 2003 and 2007.
Educated at the School of Primary Studies, Keffi, and the University of Sokoto, where he obtained an LLB (Hons) degree, Sodangi was called to the Nigerian Bar after attending the Nigerian Law School in Lagos.
Throughout his career, he was actively involved in various professional bodies, including the Commonwealth Bar Association, the African Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Defense Institute.
The circumstances surrounding his passing remain unclear as of the time of this report, according to Daily Post. Sodangi’s demise marks the end of an era for Nasarawa politics, leaving behind a void that will be deeply felt by his colleagues, constituents, and the political community at large.
