Wike disclosed this while inspecting various infrastructure projects in the nation’s capital, expressing satisfaction with the work being done by contractors. He emphasized that no ongoing project would be abandoned under his administration, underscoring the priority given to essential projects in the FCT’s 2024 statutory budget.

Among the notable projects is the provision of Wuye District infrastructure and the FCT Highway 105, an 11km six-lane dual carriageway linking the Airport Expressway to Kuje. Wike commended the contractors for their dedication and assured residents of the timely completion of these crucial initiatives.

Highlighting the significance of these projects, Wike emphasized their transformative impact on the FCT, particularly the completion of the FCT Highway 105, which will bring about positive changes in the area.

Regarding the progress of ongoing works, Wike expressed satisfaction with the level of completion of key projects such as the Wuye/Wuse flyover and the Kuje road. He praised the commitment of contractors to meeting project deadlines and delivering quality workmanship.

In addition, Wike reassured residents about the road resurfacing project in the Asokoro District, affirming that it would also be completed by May. According to a statement released on July 9, 2026, by Favour Dozie, the agency’s Deputy Director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications, Sadiq was intercepted on July 6 at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while attempting to fly to Abuja with an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The DSS stated that she could not produce an End User Certificate (EUC), which is a mandatory document for drone usage under Office of the National Security Adviser regulations, and she admitted during questioning that she lacked the necessary documentation.
