- A GDP growth of 3.46% in the fourth quarter of 2023, compared to 2.54% in the third quarter.
- A significant reduction in refined petroleum importation by about 50% following the removal of the petroleum subsidy.
- An increase in oil production from 1.2 million barrels per day to 1.55 million.
- A rise in capital importation by 66% in the fourth quarter of 2023, reversing a 36% decline in the third quarter.
- The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index crossing the 100,000 mark, its highest ever, due to pragmatic reforms inspiring investor confidence.
- The initiation of a Social Security Unemployment Programme to address the needs of unemployed graduates.
- The setup of a Social Consumer Credit Scheme to boost the purchasing power of Nigerians amidst economic adjustments.
Additionally, Idris mentioned the rejigging of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) to resume the direct disbursement of N25,000 to 15 million households immediately, aiming to cushion the impact of reforms on citizens. He also highlighted the government’s efforts in combating insecurity, asserting that significant progress is being made in this regard.
