The government is actively working to mitigate the soaring inflation rate and reduce the prices of essential food items. Among the interventions, Edun mentioned the release of forty-two thousand metric tons of grains, with plans for another sixty thousand metric tons to be released soon.

The conference aimed to explore strategies for managing the nation’s assets and resources to enhance the overall well-being of the people. The event saw the presence of key figures including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anite, Minister of Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari, and Governor of Cross Rivers State, Bassey Otu. Additionally, representatives from the World Bank, private sector, and diplomatic corps were also in attendance.

With this final legal hurdle cleared, Governor Oyebanji’s position is secure, following his subsequent victory in the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election, where he polled 319,224 votes.
