With the showdown set to take place tomorrow, Sunday, February 11, in Abidjan, concerns have been raised following reports of unfortunate deaths attributed to High Blood Pressure (HBP) during the Super Eagles’ previous match against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in the Semi-Finals of the competition.
Professor Akin Abayomi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, delivered the health advisory through an official statement on Saturday, expressing optimism for a triumphant outcome for the Super Eagles in the final clash.
The statement outlined the following essential tips for citizens to safeguard their health while enjoying the football spectacle:
- Know Your Limits: Understand your physical capabilities and consult with a healthcare professional if you have any underlying health conditions before engaging in strenuous activities.
