Eze suggests that the law of retributive justice is working against Wike in his current power struggle with Governor Siminialayi Fubara over the leadership of Rivers State.

In a statement on Saturday, Eze highlights that Wike, who supported the removal of lawmakers in 2014, is now facing a similar situation where five lawmakers have ousted 27 colleagues loyal to him. Eze recalls instances where Wike threatened governors decamping from PDP to APC, emphasizing that the constitution requires adherence to the law, and decampees have lost their seats in the state legislature.

Eze claims that after losing the PDP presidential ticket, Governor Ganduje is strategically challenging Wike, dissolving the Rivers State APC chapter and appointing Wike’s loyalists as a Caretaker Committee. However, Eze argues that this move is a ploy to drown Wike in the complexities of politics.

“Leaders must demonstrate their commitment to delivering good governance. You cannot make promises during elections and vanish afterward without fulfilling them. We asked you to support Tinubu, starting with the area council elections. On February 21, you came through, delivering 133 of the 135 polling units in the council for Tinubu. What more can we say but thank you? You have done your part; we will now do ours. Abaji people have spoken, and they spoke decisively,” he said.

He said:

“In 2023, Peter Obi asked Obasanjo, who called me while I was in London. He was at the Hilton with Datti and two other stakeholders. When I answered, I didn’t hear him clearly, so I asked, ‘Who is that?’ He said, ‘My name is Obasanjo.’”

“I apologized, and he said, ‘I’m calling you to come and join me.’ At the time, he was publicly denying any role in Peter Obi’s agenda. Peter Obi wanted me to work for him, but I refused.”

Bwala added that Ambassador Amuchi Osuk was initially sent to start the campaign, and Obi’s team expected Bwala to join because of religious dynamics:
