Just days before the Kogi State Governorship election, a Joint Security Operation in the Eastern Senatorial District, specifically in Anyigba, has reported the killing of three suspected political thugs. The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye Aya, provided this information in a statement on Tuesday.

Aya disclosed that the security team also seized two AK47 rifles from the suspected individuals. Despite identifying themselves, the security team encountered intense gunfire. In response, three of the political thugs were fatally shot, and two AK47 rifles were recovered. Two members of the security team sustained gunshot wounds, and seven suspects were apprehended.
