APC Responds To Peter Obi: Legal Victories Depend On Evidence, Not Public Opinion....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has challenged Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, for suggesting that the Supreme Court’s ruling on the 2023 presidential election was manipulated in favor of President Bola Tinubu.

The APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Felix Morka, issued a statement in Abuja, emphasizing that court cases are not determined by public opinion but by evidence and the law.

Morka remarked, “During his press conference, Obi once again held our democratic institutions, particularly the courts, responsible for not declaring him the winner. However, it’s not because he won the election or presented a compelling case in court, as required by the law, but simply because he is Peter Obi.”

He further noted, “Obi’s inability to differentiate between his own distorted version of public sentiment and reality has been his biggest downfall throughout the election season.”

Morka pointed out, “As someone who has previously benefited from Supreme Court rulings on electoral matters, Obi’s sharp criticism of the judiciary reflects his arrogance and vanity. When the same court ruled in Obi’s favor and confirmed him as the duly elected Anambra governor, it was seen as a cornerstone of democracy. However, the court is now accused of betraying democracy because it ruled against him.”

Morka stressed, “It cannot always revolve around Obi but must center on our nation. Court cases are determined by evidence and the law, not public opinion, and he failed on both fronts.”

He concluded by saying that while the APC welcomes Obi’s decision to engage in opposition politics in the future, he should do so in a mature and constructive manner.
