Man City Verdict Sparks Premier League Uncertainty As Iraola Breaks Silence.

Published

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has warned that the uncertainty surrounding Manchester City’s alleged financial rule breaches has created concerns across the Premier League ahead of Sunday’s encounter between the clubs at Anfield.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Reports indicate that Manchester City were found guilty of multiple financial rule breaches by an independent commission last week. However, the club has continued to maintain its innocence and has appealed against the findings.

City could face a substantial points deduction, a development that could put their Premier League status at risk, depending on the outcome of the proceedings.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s match, Iraola said the lack of clarity surrounding the case and its potential consequences remained a major concern.

“I think the worst thing probably is the uncertainty, that no one knows what’s going to happen,” the Spaniard said.

“But we have to focus on Liverpool, be the best club we can be, the best team we can be and that’s my challenge.”

Iraola, who joined Liverpool in June, also highlighted the importance of winning over the club’s supporters as he prepares for the high-profile fixture.

The manager expressed hope that his players would deliver a performance capable of generating an electric atmosphere at Anfield.

“The atmosphere is going to be big, especially at Anfield,” he said.

“We want to give also our supporters reasons to be with us. When they see the team they want to see on the pitch, we can create an even better atmosphere and we will work for that.”

Liverpool remain unbeaten under Iraola, but three draws in their opening five league matches have left them six points behind the league leaders.

The Reds will also be without forwards Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo for Sunday’s encounter after both players sustained injuries while on international duty.

Iraola admitted that clubs often worry about the fitness of their players during international breaks, hoping to avoid injuries that could disrupt their plans.

“As a club manager, you are always waiting until the game ends (hoping) the doctor doesn’t call you, doesn’t give you bad news, but in this case we’ve been unlucky with Alex and Cody, both of them,” he said.

“They are injured and they are not going to be involved on Sunday.”

The absence of the two forwards presents another challenge for Liverpool as they prepare to face Manchester City in a match expected to attract significant attention, both for the action on the pitch and the ongoing uncertainty surrounding City’s financial case.
