Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has declared that his loyalty to presidential hopeful Peter Obi remains unwavering, regardless of whichever political party Obi chooses to join.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Fayose made the statement in a video shared on his official Facebook page on Monday while reacting to criticisms trailing Obi’s defection to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).

reports that Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso on Sunday left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the NDC, a move that has sparked intense political reactions.

The defection drew criticism from members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), who accused both politicians of constantly switching political parties.

Responding to the backlash, Fayose insisted that his support for Obi is based on personal conviction rather than party structure, stressing that he and many others are prepared to follow Obi wherever he goes politically.

He also accused the APC of attempting to influence opposition parties despite already controlling a significant number of states.

Fayose questioned why the ruling party would be concerned about opposition movements if it was truly confident of electoral victory.

He said, “Your current president moved from SDP to AD, ACN and APC. Anywhere Peter Obi decides to go, we will follow him because we believe in him.

“If the APC is sure of victory, why are the members putting their hands in all other parties? I thought they had over 32 governors; why are they still putting their fingers in other parties?

“If we like, we can move to NNN; that’s our own. Obi is our party.”

He explained that the policy was approved at the Federal Executive Council meeting held on April 30.

According to him, the move is aimed at restoring credibility and public trust in academic titles and preventing their misuse.

Alausa said, “The recent trend we’ve seen with the award of honorary degrees has revealed a growing abuse and politicisation of this academic privilege. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reacted to an appeal by Senior Pastor of Family Worship Centre, Abuja, Sarah Omakwu, urging him not to hand over the Jabi Lake recreation area for private development.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

recalls that Omakwu made the plea in a video posted on her Instagram page on Sunday, where she was seen kneeling on the pulpit while passionately addressing the minister.

In her appeal, the cleric said she was not in a position to confront the FCT minister but chose instead to plead with him as a mother concerned about the country.

She said, “I cannot fight the minister of the FCT. I cannot. But I go on my knees as a mother in this land that Jabi Lake Recreation Centre should not be given to anybody.”

Responding during his monthly press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike stated that emotional appeals would not influence his decisions in office.

According to him, leadership requires tough decisions, and while not everyone may agree with government actions, what matters is the overall public interest.

“I’m human in this government and you don’t expect everybody to be happy, if majority are happy, then I’m happy. Some people don’t understand what’s going on, you should ask questions,” Wike said.

Addressing the pastor’s kneeling appeal directly, the minister questioned the basis of the emotional plea, insisting that ownership of Jabi Lake does not belong to any individual.

“You talk about the woman kneeling down and begging, I’m not carried away by such emotions, begging to do what? Who owns Jabi Lake?

“How does it becomes your own? First of all, I came on board that place was given to a company that said they want to turn it to an entertainment place but they have turned it into shanties.”

Wike further explained that his concerns were driven by the current state of the area, which he said had deteriorated and could pose security risks.

“One of these days I went there and said this can’t be, there is a hotel and who would come to stay in that hotel when there are shanties all over. You don’t know if there are criminals,” he added.
