News reports that Ehimuan, who is seeking the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made her declaration on Friday in Benin, the Edo State capital.

She said her decision to enter the race was driven by her desire to offer effective and people-centred representation for the residents of Oredo East.

During her declaration, Ehimuan stressed that the constituency needs purposeful leadership that reflects the real needs of its people.

She pledged to bring governance closer to the grassroots and ensure that residents benefit directly from democratic dividends.

According to her, “I will bring dividends of democracy to the good people of Oredo East, ensure that they feel what positive governance is all about.

“I will ensure that the youths, women and the elderly are captured in my representation as I will give them quality representation and breathe life into the constituency.”

She added that Oredo East deserves a representative who understands its challenges and is committed to inclusive development.

Ehimuan also noted that she would leverage her background in journalism, advocacy, and community engagement to highlight the needs of her constituency and drive meaningful development.
