He spoke at a Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) workshop held in Kaduna as part of the Nigeria Public Relations Week, themed “From Policy To Public Trust: Strategic Communication For Vision Alignment And Governance Delivery For Renewed Hope.” The event brought together top government officials including commissioners, advisers, permanent secretaries, and councillors.

The governor stated that Kaduna today is significantly improved compared to what he met on assumption of office, adding that the state is now “on the move” towards greater progress.

He explained that his administration adopted a performance-based governance model anchored on Key Performance Indicators to ensure accountability and measurable results across ministries, departments, and agencies.

Uba Sani said his government structured development around seven key pillars—security, infrastructure, institutional strengthening, trade and investment, agriculture, human capital development, and citizen engagement—describing them as interconnected drivers of transformation.

He stressed that security remains the foundation of all progress, noting that without it, economic and social development cannot thrive. According to him, his administration worked with security agencies to establish military bases in high-risk areas and deployed vehicles and motorcycles to improve response capacity.

The governor also said over 20,000 hectares of farmland have been reclaimed, more than 1,000 displaced persons resettled, and over 117,000 internally displaced persons supported.

He highlighted innovations such as the Kaduna Incident Report Centre for emergency response and the adoption of peace-building strategies through local peace councils and rehabilitation programmes.

In education, he said the government has built and renovated thousands of classrooms, recruited 10,000 teachers, trained over 33,000 education personnel, and reduced the number of out-of-school children from about 550,000 to 187,720.

He added that vocational training programmes have been introduced to equip young people with skills in ICT, renewable energy, and other sectors.

In healthcare, Uba Sani said 255 primary health centres have been upgraded, 23 centres of excellence established, and a 300-bed specialist hospital completed.

On infrastructure, he disclosed ongoing road projects spanning over 1,300 kilometres across the state, while also noting increased agricultural investment, fertiliser distribution, and expansion of crop insurance schemes.

He further stated that Kaduna has attracted over $743 million in actualised investments and built a pipeline worth about $2.77 billion, reflecting growing investor confidence.

The governor also highlighted social intervention programmes, including financial inclusion efforts, transport support schemes, and targeted assistance for households and small businesses.

He assured that his administration remains committed to ensuring development reaches all communities across the state through inclusive and structured governance initiatives.
