Iran Sets 3 Tough Conditions To End War With US, Israel.

Published

on

Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, has outlined three key conditions that must be fulfilled before the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel can come to an end.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Pezeshkian disclosed the conditions in a post shared on his official account on X on Wednesday.

The Iranian leader stated that one of the primary demands is that the United States should pay reparations for the damage caused during the conflict.

He also insisted that Iran’s legitimate rights must be recognised while the international community should provide firm guarantees to prevent any future military aggression against the country.

In the post, Pezeshkian said he reiterated Iran’s position during discussions with the leaders of Russia and Pakistan, both of which have criticised the recent attacks on Iran.

He wrote that Iran remains committed to peace in the region but maintained that the conflict, which he said was triggered by the Zionist regime and the United States, can only end if Iran’s rights are recognised, reparations are paid and strong international guarantees are put in place to prevent future attacks.

Reports indicate that the conflict has already resulted in significant casualties. More than 1,300 people in Iran are believed to have died since hostilities began about 12 days ago following airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel.

Iran’s retaliatory attacks have also caused casualties, including the deaths of eight American soldiers and at least 12 people in Israel.

Among those reported killed in the strikes was Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, alongside more than 160 schoolgirls who were reportedly killed after a missile struck their school.

Details cited by The New York Times indicated that a United States military investigation confirmed that the missile strike on the school was carried out by American forces.

Despite claims from Washington that much of Iran’s air force, naval assets and missile capabilities have been destroyed, Tehran has continued launching missiles and drones at Israel and targets linked to the United States across the Middle East.

Iran has also reportedly shut down the Strait of Hormuz, a vital maritime passage responsible for transporting roughly 20 per cent of the world’s oil supply.

The disruption has sparked concerns in global energy markets, with fuel prices rising in several countries. Nations such as Nigeria have already begun experiencing increases in petrol prices due to the impact of the crisis on international oil supply chains.

The restriction also covers pharmaceutical waste, which remains completely prohibited.

In the agriculture and food sector, the importation of poultry, pork, beef, and eggs remains banned, although an exception was made for hatching eggs used for breeding and research purposes.

Retail-packaged vegetable oils, sugar products, cocoa derivatives, tomato paste, and certain bottled water products are also included in the import restrictions, with emphasis on encouraging local production.

Published

ADC chieftain and publisher, Dele Momodu, has dismissed calls for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race, describing the push as unfair and politically motivated.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Momodu was reacting to comments by activist Zekeri Idris Jnr, a supporter of Peter Obi, who urged Atiku to step aside over concerns about his age, which would be about 80 by 2027.

In a post on his X handle on Saturday, Momodu said attention should be focused on holding the government accountable rather than targeting Atiku’s political ambition.

The exchange followed a viral video where Idris insisted that Atiku should support younger aspirants instead of contesting, arguing that voters would not back an elderly candidate.

Idris also suggested that Atiku should act as a statesman and support younger politicians such as Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and others.

Responding, Momodu cited several world leaders who held office at advanced ages, arguing that experience should not be dismissed in leadership discussions.

He questioned what should disqualify Atiku from contesting, insisting that age alone is not a valid reason.

Atiku, who lost the 2023 presidential election to President Bola Tinubu, is reportedly considering another run in 2027 under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
