“With Shettima in government, we have many hopes and expectations. We are confident he is delivering. Much has already started, and we want that strategy to continue. The status quo must be maintained,” he said.

Abdullahi argued there is no reason to replace the Vice President.

“There is no basis for changing Shettima. He remains loyal, capable, and is performing the duties of the Vice Presidency effectively. There’s no reason he should be replaced,” he stated.

APC Could Face Problems

The farmers’ leader warned that removing Shettima could hurt the party’s electoral prospects.

“APC will face problems if he’s removed. We are not politicians, and we don’t lie. This is my first time speaking on camera. Many farmers may withhold their votes if Shettima is replaced,” he said.

He tied their previous support for the party to the Muslim-Muslim ticket.

“We voted for the Muslim-Muslim ticket. If there’s a plan to replace someone, the public should be told what they did wrong to warrant it,” Abdullahi added.

Describing politics as a reciprocal process, Wike stressed that the era of empty promises was over:

“Leaders must demonstrate their commitment to delivering good governance. You cannot make promises during elections and vanish afterward without fulfilling them. We asked you to support Tinubu, starting with the area council elections. On February 21, you came through, delivering 133 of the 135 polling units in the council for Tinubu. What more can we say but thank you? You have done your part; we will now do ours. Abaji people have spoken, and they spoke decisively,” he said.
