Frederick Leonard Takes Stanley Ontop To Court Over Alleged Defamation
Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard has petitioned against filmmaker and media personality Stanley Ontop, accusing him of defamation of character.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The petition, dated January 28, 2026, was forwarded to the Delta State Police Command through Leonard’s legal representatives, Uche Okoro & Co.
Leonard alleged that Stanley Ontop had, for over two years, made repeated and unprovoked statements that harmed his reputation. He claimed the filmmaker deliberately spread narratives that portrayed him negatively, thereby damaging his public image and affecting both his personal and professional life.
The actor later made the petition public on Monday by sharing it on his Instagram page, warning that he was prepared to pursue the matter to its logical conclusion.
Leonard stressed that anyone making allegations against him must be ready to substantiate such claims with evidence, adding that the action was intended to serve as a deterrent to others.
He wrote: “Mr Stanley Chibueze Ajemba, a.k.a Stanley Ontop, you have been served. The law will take its course to the full extent. You first, others will follow. If you claim or allege, you must prove with evidence. I’m coming for you.”

According to DAILY POST, Peller was arrested in December 2025 following an alleged deliberate car accident in Lagos State. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) subsequently ordered his arrest and prosecution for reckless driving.
At the premiere of the movie Love Notes on Saturday, Peller exchanged pleasantries with Funke Akindele and credited her with helping secure his release from prison.
Expressing gratitude, he said, “She was the one who helped me when I was in prison. She was the one who helped my life.”

In 2022, Tems made history as the first African artist to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with her collaborative hit with Future and Drake, “Wait For U.”
She is set to break the tie with Burna Boy and Seether soon, as her feature on J. Cole’s “Bunce Road Blues” alongside Future is expected to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 next week.
