US Lawmaker Blasts Nigerian Government Over Unending Killings Of Christians.
According to Nivo News, United States Congressman Riley Moore has accused the Nigerian government of mismanaging billions of dollars in military assistance from Washington, alleging that Christian communities across the country continue to face deadly attacks despite years of U.S. support.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Moore, who chairs an investigative committee established by President Donald Trump to probe religious persecution in Nigeria, voiced his concerns during an interview on The Dinesh D’Souza Show on Thursday night. He expressed frustration over the ongoing attacks on Christians and the alleged lack of decisive action from both Nigerian authorities and the international community.
“My brothers and sisters in Christ are being murdered simply for practising their faith,” he said, warning that continued inaction could lead to grave security repercussions. “If we don’t address this now and terrorists take hold in Nigeria, I promise you we’ll be forced to confront it one way or another.”
The lawmaker criticised the Federal Government for failing to prioritise the safety of Christians despite receiving what he described as “billions and billions of dollars” in security assistance from the United States, including military training and equipment.
He lamented that the violence against Christians had “flown under the radar” for far too long, describing the situation as a “forgotten genocide” that demands urgent international intervention. “If we are not going to stand up for the very values we have as Christians,” Moore added, “then what are we really defending?”
Moore’s comments followed fresh remarks from former U.S. President Donald Trump, who recently accused Nigerian authorities of ignoring what he termed a “mass slaughter” of Christians by radical Islamist groups.
In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump declared that Christianity faced an “existential threat” in Nigeria and directed U.S. lawmakers, including Moore and House Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole, to act swiftly and report back with recommendations.
“The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria and other nations,” Trump warned.
The Federal Government, however, has consistently rejected U.S. claims of religious persecution, maintaining that the country’s security crisis affects citizens of all faiths. Nigerian officials argue that the violence is primarily driven by terrorism, banditry, and communal conflicts rather than targeted attacks on Christians.

-
Advocacy for Amnesty: He questioned why IPOB members cannot renounce violence and seek government amnesty and rehabilitation, similar to the programs offered to repentant terrorists and bandits in northern Nigeria.
-
Context of Allegations: Uwazuruike’s comments appear to be prompted by recent social media videos featuring hooded, armed militants who claim loyalty to Kanu and threaten further violence in the South East to secure his release.

The Incident: Approximately an hour after the meeting, Risku and an associate were intercepted and fatally shot in Okudu village.
