“VC Of MOUAU Urges Staff, Students: Don’t Panic Over Successor Delays”.
The Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Abia State, Professor Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, has urged staff not to worry over the ongoing delay in appointing his successor.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking to staff and students during the monthly prayer meeting in Umudike, Professor Iwe explained that the University’s Governing Council is still carrying out the selection process.
He encouraged the university community to remain patient and pray for God’s guidance to help the council successfully complete the appointment.
“I understand that many people, both within and outside the University, are concerned about the prolonged process of appointing my successor. I urge you to trust in God, who is constant and able to do all things for His people,” Professor Iwe said.
The Vice Chancellor, who assumed office in March 2021, is set to complete his tenure in early March 2026.
Recent media reports suggested that some members of the Governing Council may have been causing delays in the outgoing administration’s activities, including postponing the 13th Convocation ceremony, originally scheduled for December 2025.
