Garba Datti Muhammad, the recently appointed National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the North West region, has underscored the imperative of party cohesion to maintain its dominance and political significance in the area.

In his first meeting with zonal executive officers at the APC’s zonal secretariat in Kaduna, Muhammad stressed the importance of unity and harmony within the region to enhance the party’s prospects.

Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada, the Zonal Publicity Secretary of the APC, conveyed these sentiments in a statement released on Wednesday. The zonal chairman emphasized the need for the North West zone to safeguard its political standing, acknowledging its vital role in the country’s political development.

Muhammad pledged to leverage his extensive experience and network to foster unity and solidarity among party members in the geopolitical zone. He also assured that the APC’s National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, shared a strong commitment to the party’s success in the region.

The new Vice Chairman assumed office on Friday, August 25, 2023, following the resignation of Salihu Mohammed Lukman on July 26, 2023.
