Sunday Igboho Returns To Nigeria, Visits Olubadan.
Yoruba nation activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has returned to Nigeria after spending several years in exile.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
reports that Igboho arrived in Ibadan on Monday and headed straight to the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
His spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, confirmed the development, saying:
“As I speak, Chief Sunday Adeyemo is on his way to Olubadan Place and should be arriving shortly.”
Koiki further stated that Igboho is no longer on the wanted list and has chosen to return to his people.
“This is a moment of hope for Ibadanland and all of Yorubaland. Chief Adeyemo is no longer being pursued by government authorities and is free to come home,” he added.
Igboho’s return was reportedly facilitated by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, along with other South-West stakeholders who intervened to clear the way for his homecoming.
In 2025, Igboho had publicly expressed his frustration over his prolonged exile. During a visit to the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Olusola Alao, in Oyo State, he urged President Bola Tinubu’s government to remove his name from Nigeria’s wanted list, insisting he was not a criminal.
Igboho explained that he had been declared wanted under the administration of the late President Muhammadu Buhari over an unspecified offense, which restricted his ability to use a Nigerian passport or access his bank accounts, despite favorable court rulings.
His camp expressed gratitude to President Tinubu, Yoruba monarchs across the region, and Yoruba people worldwide for their support throughout his years in exile.
