“No One Can Defeat Tinubu” – Atiku’s Son Declares Upon Joining APC.

Naija News reports that Abba made the announcement on Monday in Yola after collecting his APC membership card at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Speaking at the event, Abba said he joined the ruling party to support what he described as the Tinubu administration’s economic and human development reforms.
“I want to make it very clear that nobody or any political party can stop President Bola Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock in 2027,” he said.
He added that Nigerians have started to appreciate the president’s leadership style.
“Nigerians have seen his good work; he is not a tribalist. He makes appointments based on merit, not religion or region,” Abba said, citing the administration’s massive human and infrastructural development as a motivating factor for his defection.
He urged Nigerians to rally behind the president. “The president needs your support to continue the good work. We should mobilise more people, beyond party affiliations, to back him,” he added.
The APC Zonal Vice Chairman for Adamawa Central, Alhaji Isa Bagalti, who presented Abba with his membership card, said the defection further strengthened the ruling party.
“It is now clear that no party or presidential candidate in Nigeria can face our president in 2027,” Bagalti said.
Alhaji Jamil Yusuf, a prominent APC chieftain in Adamawa, echoed the sentiment, describing President Tinubu as having no credible rival ahead of the next election. He called other aspirants “wishful thinkers” and argued they lack the capacity to challenge the president.
“Many aspiring candidates treat politics as a trade fair. I advise them to invest their money elsewhere, because the office of the president is no longer for the highest bidder but for competent leaders like President Tinubu,” Yusuf said.
Abba Atiku’s defection comes amid contrasting political alignments within the Atiku family. Adamu Atiku, the former vice president’s first son, remains a key member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and serves as Commissioner for Works and Energy Development under Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is reportedly pursuing his 2027 presidential ambition on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
