Davido Explodes Over Allegation He Owes $50,000.

The allegation surfaced on social media, where a post attributed to the CEO of the event planning company that handled Davido and Chioma’s wedding, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, accused the singer of failing to settle outstanding payments. The viral post was accompanied by an alleged chat showing the planner threatening legal action.

However, Bucknor-Obruthe swiftly dismissed the claims. In a statement shared via her Instagram story, she described the circulating post and screenshots as false and misleading, stressing that they did not originate from her or her company.

Reacting to the controversy on his (formerly Twitter) account, Davido rubbished the allegation, calling it baseless.
“This is just crazy atp,” the singer wrote.

Meanwhile, controversial musician Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has made fresh accusations against some of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats stars, including Davido, Wizkid, Olamide and Burna Boy.

In a video shared online, Portable alleged that the artists exaggerate the value of their jewellery and lifestyle, thereby placing undue pressure on emerging musicians. He further claimed that the industry heavyweights, who have dominated the music scene for over a decade, were deliberately stifling the rise of new talents.
