The inauguration took place on Sunday in Abuja, with Gombe explaining that the committees are tasked with overseeing the planning and conduct of congresses at the zonal, state, local government, and ward levels, in full compliance with the party constitution and the Electoral Act.

Speaking at the event, Gombe emphasized that the committees will enforce constitutional compliance, implement congress guidelines, and uphold electoral regulations, including voting procedures, ballot handling, and result declarations. He urged party members to work collectively to build a stronger ADC founded on justice, equity, and fairness while empowering leaders to guide members toward effective change.

Gombe also addressed recent controversies, distancing the party from remarks made by Hon. Leke Joseph Abijide in support of Tinubu’s re-election, stressing that the statement does not represent the ADC’s position as a determined opposition party.

In his acceptance speech, Abimikun Monday, Chairman of the North-West Zonal Congress Committee, described the inauguration as a milestone in repositioning the party and reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to executing its mandate in line with the party constitution and the Electoral Act.

Kaduna State ADC Chairman, Sani Aliyu Mohammed, also pledged the party’s determination to win power through democratic means. He assured members that the ADC would exhaust all legal and legitimate avenues to establish itself as a formidable political force from 2027 onward.
