According to Nivo News, the national leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has outlined firm conditions for entering into any political alliance or coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections, insisting that he will only align with a party willing to offer him either the presidential or vice-presidential ticket.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Kwankwaso disclosed that while his political camp remains open to discussions on mergers or alliances, such negotiations would only progress if his central demand is met. This comes amid growing speculation that the former Minister of Defence is being courted by several political blocs, including the African Democratic Congress, which already boasts high-profile figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former Minister of Transportation Chibuike Amaechi, all of whom are reportedly eyeing the presidency.

There are also indications that the ruling All Progressives Congress has been making overtures to Kwankwaso, urging him to join the party and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s anticipated re-election bid in 2027. Despite these approaches, the NNPP leader appeared resolute and unmoved.

Addressing supporters in Kano on Saturday, Kwankwaso made his position clear, stressing that any political platform seeking his participation must be prepared to concede either the presidential or vice-presidential slot to him. He reaffirmed that he is actively exploring options but would not compromise on his conditions.

Kwankwaso was the NNPP’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, where he finished fourth behind President Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi.
