According to Nivo News, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that he will not maintain cordial relations with anyone who stands against the development of Rivers State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Wike made the statement on Saturday while addressing residents of Okrika during his ongoing “Thank You” tour across local government areas in the state. The former Rivers State governor dismissed claims that he harbours ill feelings toward the Ijaw people, insisting that his only opposition is directed at individuals who resist progress and development.

He challenged anyone who believes he has personal grievances with them to confront him directly rather than attributing such issues to ethnic or communal sentiments. Wike stressed that attempts to hide behind group identities would not be tolerated, adding that those unwilling to face him openly should remain silent.

The minister further dismissed criticisms that his administration failed to deliver meaningful development in Okrika, stating that such comments stem from bitterness rather than facts.

Wike also expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his role in ensuring the conduct of local government elections in Rivers State, which he said corrected earlier irregularities. According to him, the intervention restored legitimacy to the councils and repositioned them to function effectively in the interest of the people.

He assured residents that the reclaimed local councils would deliver good governance and urged them to remain supportive of leaders committed to genuine development.
